Jean Larette established Larette Design in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1998. She was selected by Architectural Digest in the California Open Audition 2008 and her project was the winner of Favorite Bedroom. In 2005 and 2004 she was selected to the House Beautiful list of the Top Designers in America. She was chosen as a finalist in the Benjamin Moore Hue Awards 2005. Jean was selected to the House Beautiful list of the 25 Top Young Designers in America in 2003.

Her work has been published in Elle Décor, House Beautiful, California Home & Design, C Magazine, Marin at Home, San Francisco Magazine, Decorating Spaces, European Home & Gardens, Paper City, 7x7 and The San Francisco Chronicle among others.

Her work is featured in the Stephanie Hoppen books “Choosing Blue” and “The Neutral Palette.” Jean was hired as a design and color consultant for the Pottery Barn coffee table book entitled “Home.”

Jean taught a class for the UC Berkeley interior design program entitled “Layers of Luxury - Creating your own Style.” Jean has been asked to join the UC Berkeley advisory council focusing on the design department.

Jean has spoken on the topic of design at the San Francisco Design Center, Canada College, the CCA, the San Francisco Mart, Smith Barney, for Bernhardt at the Mathis Brothers showroom, for Jenn-Air at Home Expo and at the Michael Taylor showroom during the House Beautiful Color Institute.
